This investigation was opened on june 28, 2006.THE basis for opening was five consumer reports, one of which included an injury.four of the complainants reported that the handle unexpectedly unlatched and one complainant reported that the handle release lever fell out of the handle on one side.evenflo has provided additional consumer reports and information in its response to PE06-023.THIS investigation has been upgraded to an engineering analysis (EA06-017) to continue to assess the alleged defect in the subject seats.the scope of the investigation has been expanded in the engineering analysis to include model years 2004 and 2006.
