What NHTSA investigated
This pe was opened based on a complaint from a jonway dealer in land o'lakes, florida.odi found a number of subject scooters were equipped with 2-PIECE fuel filters that began leaking when the filter seal was compromised.odi was also aware that jonway was addressing the issue on a case-by-case basis using filters from another supplier.odi and jonway are unaware of any related fires.after this pe was opened, jonway decided to recall (09V-131) the subject scooters to install a filter from the new supplier.with that recall, this pe is closed.
