What the defect is
Mack is recalling 218 my 2006-2007 mr trucks. A check valve was omitted from the secondary supply port of the SR-7 spring brake modulating valve.
What could happen
As a result, an air leak in the secondary or primary system may result in the park brakes inadvertently applying, increasing the risk of a crash.
What gets fixed
DEALERS WILL ADD A CHECK VALVE TO THE SECONDARY SUPPLY PORT OF THE SR-7 SPRING BRAKE MODULATING VALVE AND WILL ALSO REPAIR THE SR-7 VALVE BY APPLYING A CHECK VALVE REPAIR KIT AS REQUIRED FOR THE BENDIX SAFETY RECALL (PLEASE SEE 07E-037). THE RECALL BEGAN ON APRIL 15, 2008.

Your rights
A safety recall repair is free. Under US federal law the manufacturer must fix a safety defect at no cost to you — no charge for parts, labor or diagnosis — whether or not you are the original owner. A dealer cannot charge you for recall work, and cannot require you to have bought the vehicle from them.
That entitlement is not unlimited. It applies where the vehicle was first sold less than 15 years before the recall was announced — 5 years for tires. Past that a manufacturer may still do the repair free of charge, and many do, but they are no longer obliged to. This recall was reported on 26 March 2008.
