What the defect is
Campagna motors (campagna) is recalling certain model year 2011 and 2012 V13R three wheel vehicles manufactured from august 2010 through june 2012. The seat belt buckle assembly on the vehicle chassis may have been installed improperly. The hardware used to install the buckle on the chassis may have been reversed.
What could happen
In the case of a frontal impact, the seat occupant may not be adequately restrained and could be injured.
What gets fixed
CAMPAGNA WILL NOTIFY OWNERS, AND DEALERS WILL INSPECT AND, IF NECESSARY, REPAIR THE VEHICLES FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL BEGAN ON AUGUST 6, 2012.

Your rights
A safety recall repair is free. Under US federal law the manufacturer must fix a safety defect at no cost to you — no charge for parts, labor or diagnosis — whether or not you are the original owner. A dealer cannot charge you for recall work, and cannot require you to have bought the vehicle from them.
That entitlement is not unlimited. It applies where the vehicle was first sold less than 15 years before the recall was announced — 5 years for tires. Past that a manufacturer may still do the repair free of charge, and many do, but they are no longer obliged to. This recall was reported on 26 June 2012.
