What the defect is
REV Recreation Group (REV) is recalling certain 2018 American Coach American Dream, American Revolution, Fleetwood Discovery, Discovery LXE, Holiday Rambler Endeavor, Endeavor XE, and Monaco Marquis recreational vehicles. Water may enter the 12-volt harness connectors due to missing gaskets or the placement of the pin connectors, potentially causing an electrical short.
What could happen
An electrical short can increase the risk of a crash.
What gets fixed
REV Recreation Group will notify owners, and dealers will inspect, and if necessary, install a gasket for each affected harness pin connector and re-route harnesses that terminate near luggage compartment number five, free of charge. The recall began on February 15, 2018.

Your rights
A safety recall repair is free. Under US federal law the manufacturer must fix a safety defect at no cost to you — no charge for parts, labor or diagnosis — whether or not you are the original owner. A dealer cannot charge you for recall work, and cannot require you to have bought the vehicle from them.
That entitlement is not unlimited. It applies where the vehicle was first sold less than 15 years before the recall was announced — 5 years for tires. Past that a manufacturer may still do the repair free of charge, and many do, but they are no longer obliged to. This recall was reported on 19 December 2017.
