What the defect is
Grand Design RV, LLC is recalling certain 2018-2019 Reflection fifth wheel trailers, models 28BH and 29RS. The circuit for the power converter does not have over-current protection.
What could happen
An electrical short circuit in the unprotected circuit can increase the risk of a fire.
What gets fixed
Grand Design RV will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the trailers to determine if the 50-amp mini breaker at the bus bar is installed correctly and that the circuit is wired correctly, correcting it as necessary, free of charge. The recall began November 19, 2018.

Your rights
A safety recall repair is free. Under US federal law the manufacturer must fix a safety defect at no cost to you — no charge for parts, labor or diagnosis — whether or not you are the original owner. A dealer cannot charge you for recall work, and cannot require you to have bought the vehicle from them.
That entitlement is not unlimited. It applies where the vehicle was first sold less than 15 years before the recall was announced — 5 years for tires. Past that a manufacturer may still do the repair free of charge, and many do, but they are no longer obliged to. This recall was reported on 30 October 2018.
