What the defect is
Streamline Industries Incorporated (Streamline) is recalling certain LA Chopper +2 length ABS Kit Midnight, part number OEM-LA-8211KT-13M and +5 Non ABS Brake Kit Black, part number OEM-LA-8153B-13-B, OEM-BA-801300B12, OEM-BA-501300B16, and OEM-BA-801300B18. The hydraulic brake hoses may be missing the identification label. As such, these brake hoses fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 106, "Brake Hoses."
What could happen
Brake hoses with missing labels may not be identified in the event of a safety recall, potentially resulting in an unremedied safety issue and an increased risk of a crash or injury.
What gets fixed
Streamline will provide a band with the labeling information, or replace the brake hoses, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 31, 2022.

Your rights
A safety recall repair is free. Under US federal law the manufacturer must fix a safety defect at no cost to you — no charge for parts, labor or diagnosis — whether or not you are the original owner. A dealer cannot charge you for recall work, and cannot require you to have bought the vehicle from them.
That entitlement is not unlimited. It applies where the vehicle was first sold less than 15 years before the recall was announced — 5 years for tires. Past that a manufacturer may still do the repair free of charge, and many do, but they are no longer obliged to. This recall was reported on 29 March 2022.
