What the defect is
Genuine Scooters, LLC (Genuine Scooters) is recalling certain 2022 NUI MQiGT EVO scooters. A loss of drive power may occur due to a firmware issue in the electric motor.
What could happen
Loss of drive power can increase the risk of a crash or injury.
What gets fixed
Owners are advised not to ride their scooters until the repair has been completed. Dealers will provide new motors with new firmware, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed in August 2022.

Your rights
A safety recall repair is free. Under US federal law the manufacturer must fix a safety defect at no cost to you — no charge for parts, labor or diagnosis — whether or not you are the original owner.
