What the defect is
Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain Ford EcoSport Rear Seat Covers with part number VNJ1Z-6163812-A/B. The rear seat covers may prevent the air bag from deploying correctly.
What could happen
Incorrect air bag deployment can increase the risk of injury in a crash.
What gets fixed
Ford will provide a refund for the rear seat covers.

Your rights
A safety recall repair is free. Under US federal law the manufacturer must fix a safety defect at no cost to you — no charge for parts, labor or diagnosis — whether or not you are the original owner.
