- Mopar Seat Belt Assembly
What the defect is
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain Mopar seat belt assemblies with part number 7SU27DX9AA, 7SU10DX9AA, 7SV41DX9AA, 7SV42DX9AA, 7ZK68DX9AA, 7ZK69DX9AA, 8AR89DX9AA, or 8BM60DX9AA. The rear outboard seat belts may become twisted and fail to retract properly.
What could happen
A seat belt that does not retract properly may fail to restrain an occupant as intended, increasing the risk of injury.
What gets fixed
Dealers will replace or refund the retractors, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed beginning September 24, 2026.

Your rights
A safety recall repair is free. Under US federal law the manufacturer must fix a safety defect at no cost to you — no charge for parts, labor or diagnosis — whether or not you are the original owner.
