What the defect is

Newmar Corporation (Newmar) is recalling certain 2026 Freedom Aire motorhomes equipped with a ThermaHeat Tank Pad. The water tank heating pad may experience high resistance and fail.

What could happen

A heating pad failure can increase the risk of a fire.

What gets fixed

Dealers will install a new water tank heating pad, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 6, 2026.

Your rights

A safety recall repair is free. Under US federal law the manufacturer must fix a safety defect at no cost to you — no charge for parts, labor or diagnosis — whether or not you are the original owner.
