What the defect is
Micro Bird USA LLC (Micro Bird) is recalling certain 2026 G5 transit buses. An installation error may prevent the wheelchair tie-downs from locking, leaving the wheelchair improperly secured.
What could happen
An unsecured wheelchair can move during transit or a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
What gets fixed
Dealers will inspect and secure the anchor screw cap as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 30, 2026.

Your rights
A safety recall repair is free. Under US federal law the manufacturer must fix a safety defect at no cost to you — no charge for parts, labor or diagnosis — whether or not you are the original owner.
