What the defect is
Oshkosh Corporation (Oshkosh Defense) is recalling certain 2025 NGDV battery electric vehicles. In cold weather, the high voltage battery contactor may open unexpectedly, causing a loss of drive power.
What could happen
A loss of drive power can increase the risk of a crash.
What gets fixed
Oshkosh Defense will repair or replace the batteries as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 26, 2026.

Your rights
A safety recall repair is free. Under US federal law the manufacturer must fix a safety defect at no cost to you — no charge for parts, labor or diagnosis — whether or not you are the original owner.
