What the defect is
The cruise control causes the throttle actuator to stick preventing the disengagement of the throttle. Consequence of defect: if this occurs, the vehicle would accelerate without control and further, upon restarting the vehicle, the defect may cause rapid acceleration of the vehicle. In either case a crash could occur without warning.
What gets fixed
REPLACE UNIT WITH A NEW EQUIVALENT UNIT OR REFUND THE PURCHASE PRICE.

Your rights
A safety recall repair is free. Under US federal law the manufacturer must fix a safety defect at no cost to you — no charge for parts, labor or diagnosis — whether or not you are the original owner.
