Effect Of Defect

This Could Result In An Unanticipated, Uncommanded Open Throttle Condition Without Warning. If This Event Occurs, The Vehicle Operator Will Not Have Control Of Engine Speed, Possibly Resulting In A Vehicle Crash.

Fix Defect

Cummins Will Notify Its Customers And Replace The Ecm With The Latest Design Free Of Charge. Owner Notification Began June 15, 2003. Owners Who Do Not Receive The Free Remedy Within A Reasonable Time Should Contact Cummins At 800-343-7357.
