What the defect is
Piaggio Group Americas, Inc. (Piaggio) is recalling certain 2017 Moto Guzzi V7 III Racer 750, V7 III Stone 750, V7 III Special 750, and 2016-2017 V9 Bobber, V9 Roamer motorcycles. The front ABS brake hose may rub against the engine's secondary air system connection, possibly resulting in a brake fluid leak.
What could happen
A loss of brake fluid can lengthen the distance needed to stop the motorcycle, increasing the risk of a crash.
What gets fixed
Piaggio will notify owners, and dealers will secure the front ABS brake hose to prevent it from rubbing. Any hose that has already been damaged, will be replaced. The repairs will be made free of charge. The recall began June 22, 2017.

Your rights
A safety recall repair is free. Under US federal law the manufacturer must fix a safety defect at no cost to you — no charge for parts, labor or diagnosis — whether or not you are the original owner. A dealer cannot charge you for recall work, and cannot require you to have bought the vehicle from them.
That entitlement is not unlimited. It applies where the vehicle was first sold less than 15 years before the recall was announced — 5 years for tires. Past that a manufacturer may still do the repair free of charge, and many do, but they are no longer obliged to. This recall was reported on 14 June 2017.
