What the defect is
Eldorado National-Kansas is recalling certain 2017-2019 Ford World Trans E-series vehicles. The seat belt may not be properly secured to the side wall. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 210, "Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages."
What could happen
If the seat belt is not properly secured in the event of a crash, the occupant will not be properly restrained, increasing their risk of injury.
What gets fixed
Eldorado National-Kansas will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the occupant restraint upper securement L-track and repair it, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began May 12, 2020.

Your rights
A safety recall repair is free. Under US federal law the manufacturer must fix a safety defect at no cost to you — no charge for parts, labor or diagnosis — whether or not you are the original owner. A dealer cannot charge you for recall work, and cannot require you to have bought the vehicle from them.
That entitlement is not unlimited. It applies where the vehicle was first sold less than 15 years before the recall was announced — 5 years for tires. Past that a manufacturer may still do the repair free of charge, and many do, but they are no longer obliged to. This recall was reported on 16 March 2020.
