What the defect is
Evenflo Company, Inc. (Evenflo) is recalling certain Titan 65 child seats with model number 3712198 manufactured between March 17, 2025 and May 1, 2025. The child seat may have been packaged with an incorrect instruction manual. As such, these child seats and travel systems fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 213, "Child Restraint Systems."
What could happen
A child seat with an incorrect instruction manual may result in improper installation and an improperly restrained child, which can increase the risk of injury in a crash.
What gets fixed
Evenflo will mail owners information on how to inspect and replace the instruction manual, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 15, 2025.

Your rights
A safety recall repair is free. Under US federal law the manufacturer must fix a safety defect at no cost to you — no charge for parts, labor or diagnosis — whether or not you are the original owner. A dealer cannot charge you for recall work, and cannot require you to have bought the vehicle from them.
That entitlement is not unlimited. It applies where the vehicle was first sold less than 15 years before the recall was announced — 5 years for tires. Past that a manufacturer may still do the repair free of charge, and many do, but they are no longer obliged to. This recall was reported on 18 June 2025.
