What the defect is
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain Mopar side curtain air bags with part numbers 68224526AJ, 68224527AG, 68224526AI, and 68224527AH. The right and left side curtain air bags may have insufficient pressure retention from improperly sealed seams. As such, this equipment fails to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 226, "Ejection Mitigation."
What could happen
An air bag with insufficient pressure retention increases the risk of ejection and injury during a crash.
What gets fixed
Dealers will inspect and replace the side curtain air bags, as necessary free of charge. If an air bag is not installed in a vehicle, it will be repurchased. Owner notification letters were mailed December 4, 2025.

Your rights
A safety recall repair is free. Under US federal law the manufacturer must fix a safety defect at no cost to you — no charge for parts, labor or diagnosis — whether or not you are the original owner.
