What the defect is
Couture Co Ltd (Couture Co) is recalling certain Hyperax Volt RV Lite part number B0B4NCZN87, 2024 Volt 2 LHB part number B0CNSYMC19, 2024 Volt 2 part number B0C4T56L8X, and 2023 Volt RV part number B0B48WK529 e-bike carriers. The e-bike carrier latch mechanism may experience excessive wear, disengaging while in transit.
What could happen
A disengaged latch may allow the e-bike to shift out of position, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.
What gets fixed
Owners are advised to stop using the e-bike carriers. Couture Co will reimburse owners for cost of the carrier, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 7, 2026.

Your rights
A safety recall repair is free. Under US federal law the manufacturer must fix a safety defect at no cost to you — no charge for parts, labor or diagnosis — whether or not you are the original owner. A dealer cannot charge you for recall work, and cannot require you to have bought the vehicle from them.
That entitlement is not unlimited. It applies where the vehicle was first sold less than 15 years before the recall was announced — 5 years for tires. Past that a manufacturer may still do the repair free of charge, and many do, but they are no longer obliged to. This recall was reported on 22 December 2025.
