Vehicle recall defect – Aluminum Trailer Company (Atc) Is Recalling Certain Model Year 2007-2012 Atc Car Hauler Trailers With Extended Hitches Manufactured From December 1, 2006 Through September 16, 2011. These Trailers With 12″ Extended Hitch Frames Are Breaking Near The Front Cross Member On The Frame Of The Trailer. This Is Caused By Insufficient Material Used In The Frame Hitch.

Once Detached, The Connector Rivet Can Separate From The Connector Frame Causing The Frame To Become Unusable.

If The Crack Initiates And Propagates Through The Cross SeCTIon Of The ConneCTIng Rod, It May Result In The Bending Or The ConneCTIng Rod Assembly And MalfunCTIon Of The Door Actuation Assembly.

As Such, These Tires Fail To Comply With The Requirements Of 49 Cfr Part 574, “Tire Identification & Recordkeeping.”
