Vehicle recall defect – Takata Corporation (Takata) Is Recalling Certain Seat-Mounted, Ssi-20 Design Type, Side Air Bag Inflators Manufactured December 13, 2014, To December 14, 2014. A Suspected Manufacturing Error During ProduCTIon Of Certain Inflator Lots May Result In Unusually High Pressures In The Inflators Upon Deployment Of The Side Air BAGS. This Over Pressure Could Cause The Inflator To Rupture, Causing Metal Fragments To Be Propelled Into The Passenger Compartment.
